For Taina [Jan. 31st, 2007|06:23 pm]
Four jobs I have had in my life:
1. Typist
2. Cashier
3. Sales rep
4. Waitress

Four movies I could watch over and over:
1. Amadeus
2. The 40-Year-Old Virgin (reminds me wayyyy too much of working at Future Shop)
3. Lea
4. The Three Caballeros

Four places I have lived:
1. Hintonburg, Ottawa
2. Westboro, Ottawa
3. Villeray, Montréal
4. Pointe-St-Charles, Montréal

Four TV shows I love to watch:
2. Futurama
3. Robot Chicken
4. Little Britain

Four places I have been on vacation:
1. England
2. Paris
3. Vienna
4. Vancouver

Four websites I visit daily:
1. hotmail.com
2. gmail.com
3. livejournal.com
4. facebook.com (I'm (obviously) the Rachel Sauvé in Montreal. Add me!)

Four of my favorite foods:
1. That Tyrolean dish I had at that restaurant next to Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna. Like a giant green, spinach-infused meatball with a pink sauce. So good. I have to go back to Austria for that dish. That, and those batter-fried mushrooms I had at the pub in Hütteldorf. So heart-cloggingly tasty. I haven't been able to find anything quite like them.
2. Linguine with smoked salmon and vodka cream sauce
3. Chicken quesadillas at work (Taqueria Mex on Saint-Laurent between Marie-Anne and Rachel. Come in and say hi! And try those damn quesadillas. I haven't had quesadillas at any other restaurat since because I know they just don't compare.)
4. That baked ziti dish my mom used to make years ago. Oooh, and her macaroni and cheese casserole.

Four places I would rather be right now:
1. England
2. Copenhagen
3. Vancouver, chilling with anotherstraycat
4. Toronto, visiting people. As soon as I have the moneys....

Four friends I am tagging that I think will respond… (Can I change this to "HAD BETTER RESPOND"?)
1. theclarebear
2. palomita
3. jilaweez
4. giffie!!!

Oh, maaaan.

Bitter, resentful, holier-than-thou post about elementary school bullies. Subject matter maybe be annoying for some readers.Collapse )

In other news, today I smell like brownies. *big smile*

And thank you all for your advice the other day, I appreciate your support and I'm glad I could write about what was going on.

My European Premiere! [Jan. 2nd, 2007|05:55 pm]

Hi Rachel

Happy new year to you too!

There was far too much music this time to be in one project, so the meeting resulted in a final decision to make two separate projects with choir music in the spring 2007.

Then we would like to perform your piece on the second which probably will take place in May. I'm sorry if this means that you will not be able to hear it, but we are going to make a fine recording as usual! In fact the later project probably will give a better result anyway, since we are going to hire a more professional ensemble, than the one we always gather to do the spring projects!

As I have told you earlier, you have to become a member of Komvest to submit scores to the projects, but we had a fundamental discussion about the criteria for being a member of Komvest, and it seems like that we have to make som changes if we will allow long distance membership.

However this ends up, for now we'd like to invite you as a guest composer and perform Automne at the second spring project.

Bedste hilsner / best regards,

Christian Hildebrandt

Me, a meem(sp)??? [Nov. 30th, 2006|01:41 am]
[Current Mood |WhaaaaaaaAAA??!]

I get home from school at around a quarter after midnight. John arrives shortly after, having rented some movies. After a bit of catching up (and smooching), he goes to talk to his brother James online.

James' MSN icon is the following:
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Me: (via John) James, where did you find this?
James: On this forum, why?

I'M FREAKING OUT. What are the odds? And John was equally shocked.
John: YOU drew that!?!?! I saw it on YTMND!!!!

So now he's looking for it on YTMND, wondering if maybe he hallucinated it and only saw it on the forum, since he's familiar with this similar YTMND page.

Stas, Pierre-Yves, which one of you did I originally draw this for? I think it was Stas because of the Shakespeare thing, but I'm not 100% sure.
